Position Overview:
As a Barista at Citrus, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages with precision and care. You will engage with customers, providing friendly and efficient service while maintaining a clean and organised workspace. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for coffee, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
– Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment with proficiency and attention to detail.
– Welcome customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
– Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the coffee preparation area, including equipment, counters, and utensils.
– Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed, ensuring freshness and quality of ingredients.
– Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing product recommendations and answering inquiries about coffee selections.
– Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.
– Uphold company policies and procedures, including adherence to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
– Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar role preferred.
– Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and specialty coffee beverages.
– Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritising tasks as needed.
– Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
